What does the ChatNEX plugin do?
ChatNEX by ENEX adds a chat widget to WordPress and connects your website to the ChatNEX AI service. The assistant uses public website content to answer questions about your business and can process visitor enquiries. Indexing and AI requests run on the ChatNEX server, so you do not need to store your own OpenAI API key in WordPress.
Before you install
- WordPress 6.7 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
- An HTTPS website and administrator access.
- A server that can reach chat.enex.lt over HTTPS with a valid certificate.
- Public website pages that clearly describe your products, services or policies.
How to install and connect
- Download the plugin. Use the direct ChatNEX ZIP download on this page.
- Upload it to WordPress. Go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin. Select the ZIP, install and activate.
- Open ChatNEX settings. Review the external service and data-transmission notice. Select the consent checkbox and connect ChatNEX. The plugin does not contact ChatNEX before an administrator explicitly connects it.
- Customize your assistant. Set colours, the welcome message, quick questions, conversation tone and enquiry recipients.
- Check the answers. Ask questions about your business and compare responses with your actual website content. Improve missing or outdated information.
A new website project receives 15 free AI replies in total. This allowance is shared across the project, not per visitor or per month. Local appearance and assistant settings do not require an upgrade.
How to choose a subscription
In the connected plugin settings, choose €10/month or €100/year for one website. Before buying, review the final price and automatic renewal terms, and separately confirm the required choices. Enter payment information on the Stripe-hosted page.
Disconnecting and cancelling payments
Manage subscription opens the Stripe portal, where you can cancel renewal. Disconnecting, deactivating or deleting the plugin does not cancel a subscription. If you lose WordPress access, contact info@enex.lt.
Privacy before your first conversation
Update your website privacy notice to explain how visitor conversations and enquiries are processed. The plugin provides suggested text under Settings → Privacy. Review the service privacy notice and data processing agreement before connecting.
